Include interpretation in the time budget
240/80=3 minutes per question is a full-exam average. It does not promise three minutes is enough for every item. A case can require interpreting the risk setting before choosing and applying a calculation.
Explain the model choice
In original practice, name the risk being measured, the data supplied and the relevant assumptions. A numerical result without those distinctions can describe the wrong problem. Compare alternative choices by the facts they change, rather than by superficial keywords.
Retain the official topic map
Part II applies the risk tools learned earlier. Use the current GARP objectives and reading list for the actual coverage. The Academy’s expected-loss and risk-model examples are selected educational tasks, not a substitute for that full official scope.
Diagnose an application error
Record whether the answer failed because of a method assumption, a probability interpretation, a calculation or a constraint. Rework the relevant layer, then try a new original case with that distinction made explicit. The format describes the assessment; it does not provide a pass prediction.
