Constructed response: action, evidence and answer

An answer plan connects each requested action to relevant case evidence and a supported conclusion.

Identify each requested task

A prompt can ask for a calculation and then an explanation. Write those as separate tasks before drafting. A numerical result may answer the first part while leaving the interpretation unanswered.

Choose facts that support the task

Use the supplied amounts, dates or constraints that matter. In a value-record case, paid-in and residual definitions can be more relevant than a general paragraph about private equity. Keep assumptions visible rather than inserting facts the case never supplied.

Make the reasoning traceable

Answer plan
TaskResponse component
CalculateEquation, relevant inputs and labeled result
ExplainConclusion linked to the case facts
CompareThe requested difference and its basis
State a limitationThe missing input or conditional assumption

Revise for relevance

Check whether every requested action received an answer and whether the conclusion follows from the evidence. This is an educational drafting method. Use the assessment’s official materials for its actual presentation and scoring instructions.
