Curve input and payment-date log

A reproducible curve valuation records the dated factor actually used for every payment.

Make the payment row the unit of the record

The CSV starts with the annual 5, 5, 105 schedule. Each row includes payment time, amount, supplied rate, compounding convention, derived factor and present contribution. Add rows for other schedules rather than stretching the meaning of one terminal-rate field.

Document an unobserved date

If a payment falls between quoted maturities, record the surrounding nodes and interpolation target. A blank factor is not zero. Record the modeled factor and its method separately from the supplied endpoint data.

Keep changes traceable

Use a separate scenario label or copy of the record for altered rates. Retain the same payment identifiers so a valuation difference can be traced to a changed factor or a changed schedule. Do not combine those causes under one unexplained total.

Complete assumptions beyond the arithmetic

Fields for credit basis, accrued interest and optionality are deliberately unresolved in the teaching file. The download is a valuation log, not a market-data feed or tax calculator. A completed factor column checks reproducibility rather than the commercial suitability of an instrument.
