Use the original CSV record
The worksheet includes a hypothetical 40/60 pair with 20%/10% dispersions and correlation 0.3. Blank review fields are intentional: the example is a declared model, not a historical estimate whose source dates can be inferred. Add your own source and matching-period evidence.
Complete the definition fields
| Field | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Weight | Fully invested allocation and long-only bounds |
| Return period and definition | Compatible income, currency and cost basis |
| Dispersion and correlation | Same matched horizon and data basis |
| Source/estimator | Where the values came from |
| Assumption status | Historical estimate or scenario |
| Unresolved issue | What still prevents interpretation |
Check compatibility before calculation
A monthly dispersion and annual dispersion cannot be combined without an explicit common-period treatment. Missing observations and different currency bases can also change the series. Record the correction rather than relying on a calculator to infer it.
Retain results with the input version
When changing weights or the estimated covariance, retain a separate input record and label the comparison baseline. The CSV has no automatic calculation formulas or connection to a market feed.
