Use one compatible date, currency and reporting basis. A residual value is not cash received. Inputs need their own fee and recallable-distribution treatment; these multiples are not annualized returns.

Use compatible totals
The fields do not automatically classify costs, recallable payments, recycling or subscription financing. Resolve those definitions in the source record first. Inputs must share the investor population, reporting date and currency relevant to the calculation.
Read the default result
The original default 100, 40, 110 gives DPI 0.4×, RVPI 1.1× and TVPI 1.5×. Entered total value is 150 and value above paid-in 50. The distributed share of total value is 26.666667%; this is not a realized-profit percentage.
Keep missing and zero data distinct
The tool accepts a known zero distribution or residual value. It rejects zero or missing paid-in and missing residual data. When both value components are zero, total-value multiples are zero and the distributed-share percentage is omitted because its denominator is zero.
Do not annualize the multiple by its label
These are ratios of supplied amounts, not annual returns. The residual component remains valuation dependent. The calculator is Academy-provided arithmetic, not an official ILPA template or a certification of any fund report.
