Start with your own remaining workload
Enter the total hours you intend to spend and the hours already completed. The difference is the remaining workload, with a minimum of zero. The default values are an example target rather than a syllabus-specific recommendation. Include time for practice and review when setting your own target.
The result is an average pace
The tool treats seven calendar days as a week. It divides the remaining hours by the available weeks, then divides that weekly average by the number of study days you choose. With 200 hours remaining over 140 days and five study days per week, the average is ten hours per week or two hours per study day.
| Quantity | Example |
|---|---|
| Hours remaining | 300 − 100 = 200 |
| Calendar weeks available | 140 ÷ 7 = 20 |
| Hours per week | 200 ÷ 20 = 10 |
| Hours per study day | 10 ÷ 5 = 2 |
Adjust the schedule as you learn
Revisit the inputs when you complete more material or find that a topic needs additional practice. An average pace does not reserve actual dates: use a calendar for days off, travel and mock-exam sessions. The planner does not estimate exam readiness or a pass probability.
