FRM Part I timed-practice sequence

Build a sequence of short original blocks, targeted correction and a later mixed rehearsal.

Start with a short diagnostic

Choose a small original question block and a duration you can actually complete. Record whether you knew the method before starting the calculation. A first block is evidence for the next task, not a verdict on the whole exam.

Separate the execution layers

Practice review
LayerUseful next task
Concept selectionExplain why the method fits the facts
Calculation setupWrite dates, units and signs
Device entryUse a calculator-state record
Time useReview the slow step rather than only the total

Rework the cause before adding speed

For a setup error, rebuild a small case and check it independently. For a state-entry error, record the intended settings and inputs before repeating the operation. Do not train faster repetition of the same incorrect procedure.

Return to a broader block

After the targeted correction, use a mixed block and compare both accuracy and execution reasons. Keep the official current topic map as the coverage record. This sequence supplies preparation actions rather than a guaranteed study-hour or pass threshold.
